Canadian university stars Anthony Parker and Matt O'Donnell have been selected to participate in the 86th East-West Shrine game.

The contest will be played Jan. 22, 2011 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando with former NFL head coaches Dan Reeves and Wade Phillips on the respective sidelines for this year's contest.

The six-foot-two, 215-pound Parker, a Vancouver native, had 22 catches for 367 yards and two touchdowns in five regular-season games for Calgary. But in the playoffs he helped the Dinos capture the Hardy Cup and reach the Vanier Cup final, where Calgary suffered a 29-2 loss to Laval.

Earlier this week, Parker was rated as the third-ranked prospect for the 2011 CFL Canadian college draft. Parker also has football roots as his father, also named Anthony, was a former CFL running back.

Last season, Parker was Canada West's top receiver and third in the CIS with 816 yards and added 228 rushing yards. He recorded 10 touchdowns (five receiving, five rushing) and was named a Canada West all-star and a second team all-Canadian.

The six-foot-nine, 315-pound O'Donnell, a native of Kingston, Ont., earned his second straight all-Canadian honour this season. He is listed as the eighth-ranked prospect for the 2011 CFL draft and is regarded as one of the top offensive tackle prospects in Canadian university football.
